Candy your Apples!!!

Happy Halloween!!
Last night I came across a website with lots of different Halloween treats and it inspired me!
So I stopped by the farmers market and grabbed some apples
Then to the super market to get the rest!
Carmel, candy of all kinds and heavy cream
Now keep in mind this is my first time...
I will defiantly do things differently next time!!
(I will remember to buy sticks too! I had to use plastic knives!)

Things started off great, and then disaster struck!
My toppings started to slip right off!!
I wasn't sure how to stop it from happening so I just let nature take it's course!
Sadly they are not covered in candy...
just kinda sitting in candy!
But make no mistake they taste so good!!
Recipe:
Small apples
Sticks
1/4 cup heavy cream
14 oz of Carmel
M&M's
Oreos
Pecans/Walnuts/Almonds
(pretty much any sweet treat can cover an apple and taste Divine!)

Put cream and Carmel in a sauce pan on medium low and stir until creamy.
Turn off the heat and drizzle Carmel over apples with a spoon.
If the Carmel gets thick turn the heat on low and stir until it becomes creamy again.
Cover with topping and set on wax paper in a cake pan.

Next time I try this I will be putting mine in the fridge after I am finished.
You might want to try it!
Thanks!!!
Have a safe and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Wood chuck..

Imagine a piece of wood...Yep just a plain old piece of wood.
Got it? Good
I had that image in my head for weeks!
Why you ask? Because my R/F (Roommate/Friend) is getting married!
I wanted to make something super special for their present, a sign that welcomes or informs you that you are in their home.
Something with their last name, that look rustic.
Defiantly home made goodness!
But all I could picture was a piece of wood!
Tragic I know!
So I went to Hobby Lobby! (heaven)
I started with a Planck, and worked my way to paint!
I decided that I should just paint the whole thing and then sand parts to give it that old look.
But what color????
I chose four different browns and a bronze...
But I think it turned out!
Tonight I shall put words on this painted piece of wood!
Wish me luck!!
What are you working on?
Leave me a comment about your amazingly crafty self!

Paint it or be boring!

I have a light purple wall... a boring light purple wall!
But what do I do to make it more fun? more me?
I could paint flowers? No, that is way to 12 year old girl, I am 21! I can't go back I must go forward!
In the past I just repainted the entire wall, four walls = four different colors.  But I have been there done that!  Again I can't go back I must move forward!
Wait that's it! Move forward!
I need to be inspired!
Uplifted!
I need words, quotes, and sayings to make me better.
And here is how I started....
I choose peace each day, why? Because peace is not always easy or obtainable.  But if you start out each day choosing peace it makes each breath something to look forward to!
I am using stencils as well as a little free hand!
When using the stencils I usually put up the painters tape so that my letters are even and on a straight line!
For free hand I seriously wing it! No tape, no plan, just paint! I like to live on the edge!
I am pretty sure that I don't need to be told to smile but it really couldn't hurt!

I will keep you updated on my wall as I go.  I plan to put quotes, and phrases up next.  Wish me luck!
Thanks for reading!
If you have any stellar quotes or words for me to add, please comment!
